Ahhh… getting in shape. The crowded gym, the back-to-back “try this diet” commercials, and the “this year will be different” exercise mindset. Let’s vow to make a fresh start to revamp our own fitness routine or encourage a friend to get started.
I know a lot of people grumble about how packed the gym is, but I love seeing new faces of people who are making an honest effort to get in shape. It is a great time to reach out to new gym members who are stepping outside their comfort zones and welcome them into the fitness community.
Our friends at Moms on the Run are also dedicated to encouraging women to step outside their comfort zone and join a community where all women (not just moms!) are welcome. This wonderful community is all about supporting and motivating each other and encouraging one another to stick to a fitness routine while spending time with women who have similar interests.
This unique fitness community offers not only 5k training, but strength and cardio boot camps, off-season running, distance training and a variety of other class formats. But that’s not all…. Moms on the Run groups know the need we all have as women to socialize and have fun in our lives! Various groups schedule optional social activities outside of class to further build friendships and relationships in their community.
